Joe Mantua joined BJWSA as General Manager in November 2018 and is dedicated to providing excellent service to the residents and businesses in Beaufort and Jasper Counties. Joe has more than 35 years’ experience in the water utility industry in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining BJWSA, Joe was the Deputy General Manager for Operations at the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission in Laurel, MD and also spent several years at Black & Veatch, a global engineering consulting firm.
Joe has been actively engaged with numerous professional organizations including the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) for which he served on the Board and as President.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Dayton and is a registered professional engineer.
