Okatie, SC [January 30, 2022] – Beaufort Jasper Water and Sewer Authority (BJWSA) and South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC) announced today that the latest water sample analyses indicate the water in Palmetto Bluff is free from bacteria and is safe for human consumption.
The boil water advisory for Palmetto Bluff is now lifted.
The precautionary advisory to boil water used for drinking or cooking was issued
January 27 due to low pressure after a water line break.
Additionally, BJWSA suggests that residents of Palmetto Bluff flush their systems, running bathtub and sink faucets for 10 minutes or until the water is clear.
